  1. Road Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari has announced construction work of four and six-lane Greenfield Ludhiana - Rupnagar National Highway (NH-205K).
  2. The health ministry has announced 27% reservation for the OBCs and 10% quota for the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) in the AIQ (All India Quota) scheme for UG (Undergraduate) and postgraduate (PG) medical/ dental courses (MBBS/MD/MS/Diploma/BDS/MDS) from 2021-22 onwards.
